Charity shop find

The other day I went on a thrifting adventure with a friend of mine and my wee man.

We did every charity shop in town (my feet hurt). But it was worth it, she picked up a great pink shirt after just saying she'd like one and I found these four ladies...

They are cream coloured (although they look white in some of the photos) with an aran jumper/sweater pattern. According to the Aranware website this pattern is called the double zig zag (I was expecting a more elaborate title, but there we go). However, they also say that they are known as the marriage lines to symbolise the ups and downs of married life!

Putting the idea of tea cups having symbolism aside, what do you think of them?

  1. Oh I love them! I'm a bit obsessed with knitting, so I quite like the pattern. It's a nice set of four.

  2. They are lovely, and you were very lucky to find a set of 4. I love to knit, but I like the marriage lines description as well.
