Thrifted DIY Project

Over on my blog I posted about an art project I did with the frames I bought thrifting in Palm Springs

I used one of the frames for a button project I saw on Little Green Notebook. I had my Mother and Grandmother send me some buttons (pretty much everyone has a button jar right?). I sorted the buttons by color and picked out my favorites and sewed them on a piece of linen. The idea was that they'd fit behind the glass in the frame but as I was disassembling the frame the glass cracked. It was a blessing in disguise because I had some bulky buttons that wouldn't of fit under the glass anyway.

It was a fun project to do, I remembered a lot of the button's my Mom sent from my old shirts and her old dresses. Nostalgic!
