thrifty greetings from froog and doog

Hello, my fellow thrifters!
I'm Lesley from froog and doog, and I'm happy to be the newest member of the Thrift Collective.

I'm a lover of vintage, especially Pyrex, enamelware and clothes.

Oh, and vintage fabric and linens.

Okay, I love a lot of vintage things.

I've been thrifting vintage goodies for awhile now, and I've been blogging for about eight months.

I've been lucky enough to have found goodies that make me happy.

Of course, finding said goodies makes me itch to visit the thrift stores quite often.

My husband told me yesterday I was an addict.

This, of course, was right before he pulled into the Salvation Army parking lot so I could scratch my vintage itch.

He's an enabler.

It's the thrill of the hunt and finding that certain piece I didn't know I was looking for.

It gets me every time.

Even Blossom, my Olde English Bulldog, gets into the vintage act.

Yes, I know...dogs in clothes. But look at that mug!

I will definitely be popping back in to share my newest thrifting goodies.

Happy hunting!

  1. Welcome! I love the pyrex set you've cobbled together with the pink.

  2. Thank you! I love putting things together that aren't suppose to go together. I'm happy to be a part of the Thrift Collective, too.

  3. Sitting on top of the dishes there is a blue bowl. Is it by Ben Siebel? I have one just like it but I don't know what I don't know!

  4. Sorry, it's Marcrest Swiss Chalet/Alpine. If you're looking at the thing on the left it's the gravy boat. It's such a cute pattern. Hope that helps you :)

  5. Oh darn! I looked up your Marcrest and saw from the side it is not the same as mine. I bought mine in a chicken coop sale in Maryland and still have no idea what it is. Except mine is not a gravy boat but a bowl. Love your Marcrest, though. :-) Thanks for answering the question, I appreciate it.
