Poncho Cape

There's nothing quite like a thrifted knit.

Hello fellow thrifters. I may not have been to The Thrift Collective for some time, and it's time for a reunion post. However, born and bred to thrift, I haven't been absent from the local thrift stores. I went to the thrift store with a clear-cut mission: buy a "knitted poncho/cape thingy." Perhaps it wasn't so clear, but it was, nonetheless, a mission. Tip: Going in with a mission and a picture of what you want in mind is an important key to finding the perfect thrifted piece. I can quickly scan the endless rows of clothing, looking for that cable-knit fluff, and pick it out like a heat-seeking missile would the sun. Sometimes my radar is a bit off, but when it hones in on the perfect target--well, welcome to the next apocolypse. Thus, I have this thrifted knitted shawl/poncho/cape thingy that I can wear easily into the chilly start of Spring with a pair of shorts. Ditching the chunky scarf and stockings will take me even further into the Spring season.

My next mission? Make continuous stops at this great thrifting place you all might have heard about--The Thrift Collective.

  1. I've never been able to pull off the poncho look - but it suits you down to the ground! What a fantabulous find.
