Dry...

I've been kinda bummed because I haven't been able to post any finds here lately. Well, really since I moved.

Seattle's thrift stores really spoiled me. Los Angeles is barren of decent thrift stores. Good stuff is here if you want it but you're going to pay for it.

The upside is that the flea markets here are really good. There's lots of great stuff to be found and almost every Sunday there is one near me.

I've found myself trolling etsy and eBay much more since I moved to make up for the lack of good thrifting here.

What do you do when you've hit a dry spell? Anyone else live in a bad thrifting area?

  2. I'm Blessed that the Metro Phoenix area has great Thrifting Haunts... what we lack is a REAL Flea Market... I miss those. The Swap Meets here are retailers selling the same new crap like gaudy silk floral arrangements, obnoxious T-Shirts and cheesy decor. *ack*

I hope that being this candid won't get me moderated???!!! *Winks*

  3. If your online trolling...don't forget shopgoodwill.com. It's an auction site like ebay, and not the easiest to navigate...but I've scored some pretty cool stuff from there.
Sorry your finding LA so difficult in the Thrift Shop arena. I love the thrifts here, but never really shop in the LA "Proper" areas. My suggestions, leave the city glam behind & do a day a little further in South or East LA. There are fun treasures to be had...and hope your luck changes soon.
