Friday Finds

I know I just posted about a day ago but I couldn't not share my Friday finds with you. First, I found this vintage pyrex measuring cup (I'm an avid pyrex collector). Judging by the D handle and the absence of the metric measures, I believe it's post 1940s and pre-1970s (if I'm wrong let me know!). It was $1 and I absolutely love it!

I also found these vintage canning jars which I brought home because I thought they were beautiful. The smaller one is a .75L Le Parfait "super" jar made in France. The other is 1L Floral Cove jar made in Italy. The larger was $3 and the smaller was $2. I love them so much and I'm still trying to figure out what to put in them!

Happy Weekend!

  1. Feel free to post often!

I just found six of those same jars in the back of my house (left by former residents I suppose) I cleaned them up and I think I'll be putting my sewing supplies in them.

  2. I am practically a fiend for Le Parfait jars. I found a couple of the terrine style a few weeks ago and about died right there in the Goodwill. They are so handy for storing - I use them for food I buy in bulk like lentils. Great find!

  4. I recently found a 1-cup Pyrex measuring cup that doesn't have the metric measurements on it. Also, it is slightly gold, not clear glass. Any idea how old or why it's not clear? I would love to know! Thanks, and I love reading your blog.
