Fruity Pebbles

And Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

This fruity pebbled-scattered cropped and cinched at the waist sweater reeks, screams, and oozes 80s and 90s fashion. I feel as if this sweater was one of the most random thing I've purchased at the thrift store. Tip: take some risks. I have my set of rules on how to be a smart thrift-store shopper, how to get your money's worth (and then some), how to style an item to your advantage, how to style it differently, how you know it's a great buy, and so on and so forth. But sometimes you have to simply go in armed with your whimsical creativity and spontaneity. Granted, you should do this risk-taking on a day when the store is 50% off like President's Day and Memorial Days, or when the (insert color here) tags are (insert discount here) o on (insert random days here). I'm not saying get something you might regret. I'm not saying get something you'll definitely never wear.

I'm saying get something that you've simply never worn before. Get something that sparks your interest despite that you don't have a clue of what you'll wear it with--yet. I don't have anything like this crazy polka-dotted and mottled sweater, so I immediately fell in love with it. I paired it with my blue H&M short shorts and some nylons with leg warmer-looking socks and electric blue peep-toed booties. I felt like a true 80s girl about to kick it to some crazy high-intensity work out video. My friends and I liked this outfit so much, we did a photo shoot in front of this gorgeous graffiti, which, ironically or coincidentally (sometimes, I'm not sure if I'm an English major), is right by a thrift store. So play some Jazzercise music and go crazy on your next thrifting experience. Buy it--even though you're not sure. That's half the fun of thrfit-store shopping.
