Hello Dolly!

Let me say this first...dolls kinda Creep ME OUT!
I never want to be that crazy old lady surrounded by thousands of doll eyes watching my every move. EEK!
But every once in a while during my Thrifty Adventures, I'll come across a dolly or stuffed animal too cute to pass up.  I've sold some of these treasures, but am thinking of restoring a few to a better condition to gift to some special kiddos in my life.
Here are a few of my Favorites!

1960s Nauga Monster - SOLD

I actually miss the Nauga Monster.  He was really cool & if I ever come across another one I'm saving him for my crazy friend Allie.

These are the sweetest pouty faced baby dolls. I'd love to get them some new clothes and give them as gifts to my favorite little girls...but their shoes and hair are held down with straight pins.  I definitely have to wait until the girls are a little older and can understand not to play with them like their other dollies.

I'd love to know more about the pair...any ideas?

Who doesn't love a Sock Monkey???

I adopted this sweet family from an Estate Sale in Palos Verdes not long after moving to Cali.  They sat up in my art room smiling at me from a shelf for a few months.  Sadly, the family had to split up and baby monkey is waiting for a new forever home.  Mom & Pop are now living a fancy life in France, and they send updates to baby via email once in a while.

  1. Dolls really creep me out. especially ventriloquist dummies.

  2. i know...and have you seen that preview for the Hoarders episode where the guy gets buried in dolls...Yikes! Thats what made me think of this. Lol.

  3. Dolls creep me out too, I blame Chucky ;) But the Nauga Monster is sooo coool!!

  4. AAAH! Nauga Monster! So cool!

  5. Totally in love with that vintage Nauga Monster! Never heard of him...now I must research his kind!

  6. Sock monkeys creep me out. I'm convinced they try to steal your soul in the middle of the night when you are sleeping.
