The Sweet, Sweet Smell of Cheap Vinyl (& Victory!)

OMG! OMG! OMG!
I’m always on the hunt for good old vinyl records and there are a few that I’ve been looking for for literally YEARS now and a couple weeks ago, I found a couple of my holy grail(s)….
I purchased each of these albums for 99cents a piece at the Goodwill in Shoreline, WA and they are all in amazing condition. A few of them I already own (noted by the *) but these are far better copies and they’re well worth having extras around.
Here we go!
- Pink Floyd - WIsh You Were Here (1975)
- Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (1973)*
- DEVO - Are We Not Men? We Are Devo! (1978)*
- DEVO - Duty Now For The Future (1979)
- John Lennon & Yoko Ono - Double Fantasy (1980)
- The Beatles - 1962-1966 (double album - 1973)*
- Led Zeppelin - In Through the Out Door (1979)
- Led Zeppelin - IV or ZOSO (1971)*
- THE STOOGES!!! - s/t (1972) - omg!omg!omg!!!
- SEX PISTOLS!!! - Never Mind the Bollocks (1977) - see comment above!
- The Runaways - Live in Japan (1977)
- Jimi Hendrix Experience - Smash Hits (1969)*
- Elvis Costello - My Aim Is True (1977)
- Talking Heads - Remain in Light (1980)
I’ll be buzzing from these finds for months to come. You usually only come across *maybe* one or two greats in a day…I had to pass on several other good albums that I just couldn’t take home cuz I either already had or they weren’t in great condition (AC/DC, Bob Marley, Ozzy, Aerosmith, etc)

  1. My husband is drooling over this post right now! He asked if we could go there (Shoreline Goodwill right?)

  2. Yup, it happens to be the closest thrift store to our house...although I went on Monday and they didn't have much 'good stuff' left but, well, ya never know...
