Something Primal

I've 'thrifted' on both coasts and places in between, and no matter where I am, the moment something special sings to me - like my very own Siren - feels the same. It feels elemental, exciting, and somehow pre-destined. The pleasure feels ancient, like a cave woman out in the field who FINALLY happens upon a special berry bush.
That's what happened when I found this teak bucket. I did a little cave woman dance and sang a little cave woman song.

  1. Cute! I have a not very secret love affair with old teak. It's soooo pretty!

  2. Sweet! I only ever see plastic ice buckets at my thrift, but a teak one like this would be coming home with me.

  3. Very nice. I think I would of held it like a football and ran all the way to the register!

  4. Wow, when I saw this picture I remembered we used to have one very much like it when I was a kid. I had forgotten all about it, but this made me have kind of a flashback to my childhood kitchen. :)
