Oster Galaxie Cyclomatic Chrome Blender

I recently found this amazing blender at one of my favorite thrift stores and it only set me back $5. When I saw the little old man bringing it out from the back room, freshly priced and cleaned, I nearly ripped it from his hands. "I'll take that mister! Gimmeeeee!" He then reassured me that he'd just tested it and it worked perfectly so I made out with him for a bit and then carried my new baby home. I am so happy that I finally found a replacement for my long lost Oster Beehive blender that died on me a few months ago. As an avid smoothie consumer, a good blender is an integral part of my kitchen and let me tell you, I can't handle having a new and/or ugly faux vintage blender on my counter every day.

I made my first smoothie in it today and it works SO well...that cyclomatic intergalactic power really gets it whipped, chopped, stirred and grated in a matter of seconds. I'm in love.

  5. Let's just say...I did what I had to do to get the blender...

I might add that I'm still trying to figure out the Cyclomatic part of this thing. It seems very involved and quite possibly above my level of intelligence. For now I'll just stick with the manual setting...

  7. I'm pretty curious what that knob and switch does. It's pretty James Bond. I think you need to record your findings and share.

Maybe if you could do it in a lab coat and glasses? That would be great.

  10. Did you ever end up getting the dial to work on this? I just bought the same one and can't get the cyclomatic setting to work, before I contact the seller I just want to be sure I've tried everything. Thanks!
